anyway, i finished Generation Dead yesterday, which took me 2 1/2 days to read (which shattered my last reading record) and i'm glad to inform you that it became my new favorite book and that i will be one of the first to purchase Kiss of Life

I read Generation Dead in one night staying up all night just to finish it, it was one of the very few books that made my eyes water around the end.
I am greatly anticapating The Kiss of Life. I'm guessing it's not comming out for another year or so, which is a drag since I'm dying to know more.

Ohmigod I LOVED "GENERATION DEAD"!!!! I got the book for my 15th birthday(just four days ago) and I finished it about ten minutes ago. I stayed up one night reading the book until three in the morning, which only hppens when I am in love with a book! I got was towards the end when it got sad, not gonna lie I cried... :( I looked at the back cover of the book and saw that you had a website!!! yay! I just can't wait for "Kiss of Life"! I am so glad there's going to be a sequel! I finished the book last night, in barely four hours, and the first thing I could think was "is there going to be more?!"
Phoebe, Adam, Tommy and Karen were so fleshed out and real, and I can't wait for more about them and the rest of their living and zombie friends!

DANIEL yay ever since twlight my books have been blah compared you made it better!!!!! oh, and whats the deal with people saying adam and pheobe, its tommy and pheobe remeber people? if pheobe went through the whole book not feeling a thing for adam besides friendship why would that change? oh and "kiss of life" should mean tommy because he says before pete comes in at the end that he thought if he could get someon to love him than he might come back more-----like how he feels when hes with pheobe and karen has telepathy and tommy can read minds thats why when pheobe thinks about how strange the zombie thing is in her head tommy stutters more and

I'm actually a big Sade fan--that title wasn't consciously in my head, but subconciously...who knows? Actually, the one that is always consciously in my head is her song "When am I Going to Make a Living?" from the "Diamond Life" LP. I mean CD.

anyway, you know those t-shirts the foundation in your book gave out to the students who were volunteering, with those cool slogans?
well i was wondering if you were gonna make any shirts and sell them. actually, i'm saying that you should sell shirts like that. i know i'd buy one, heck, i'd buy all of them if it weren't for my mom and her issues with spending money on clothing.

I also have to say that upon picking the book up it was not what i expected but thats a good thing it was amazing and i look foreward to reading more about pheobe and the gang :)

i was entrigued (if thats how u spell it :P) by it because it sounded a bit like the Twilight books but it was nothing like it! i am glad i read it! it only took me 1/2 a day!! i just couldn't put it down. deffo one of my fave books =D

Thank you for writing such an amazing book! I devoured it - read it one sitting! I'm so glad you chose to write about zombies as well! Their prettier undead cousins, the vampires, have been getting a lot of attention lately, it was great to read a book that considers how the undead effect the living, and the national consequences of the dea re-animated. I'm greatly anticipating the sequel- I'm sure it'll be ace!
Hiya! Just finished reading 'Generation Dead' (and I mean that quite literally; I have just put it down) and I want more. Now. I was a little sad to see the Tommy and Phoebe spark die so quickly, but you redeemed it by killing off Adam. He will make a wonderful zombie, I am sure.
I'm 26, and ploughing my way through YA fantasy because from what I have been reading the last few years, YA is where all the good books are at. Not that I'm biased, writing in the genre myself.

I agree with a lot of people. Adam and Phoebe should get together, she realised how she felt when they fell out, there is no way she can stay with Tommy now that he used her. I kinda hope that Tommy and Karen get together actually I think there is something there. Oh and I hope that Pete finds someone, dont know who but I would hate him just to be alone its sad.

I loved generationd dead but in the next book will pete be involved or is he in the shadows? As well does Phoebe have to make a desicion between her promise to adam and feelings for tommy. because isnt love the way that brings you back the most. Well if it is i think this book will be great anyway you turn to construct it.

I LOVED it!!!!
AND me and the rest of the borders book club im in have read it, and are ready to discuss what we thought of it.
Personally, i thought it was refreshing to read something different. Id never think id read or follow a book that went from different POVs but this one was so easy to follow and i enjoyed it so much!!

Generation Dead is amazing! my cousin brought it for me for christmas, and im quite ashamed to admit it took me 24hours to read. I love the way the book is written and i cried so much when Adam died. And i was absolutley histerical when he came back. I will be the very first at my local waterstones when this books is released. Iv actually planned that when im 25 im going to direct Generation Dead if it hasnt already been made into a movie- which it should have, because if it isnt i would really be heartbroken:P Thankyou for writing such an inspirational novel

OMG I have read this book like 15 times and i still can't get over the fact tht adam died. Right now my little cousin is borrowing it. My lil cousin is 9 so far she absolutly loves it and can't put it down. my friend also borrowed it and was also upset when adam died. Generation Dead was amazing, infact, I am in awe of its some! At the begining I was a bit scared that it was essentialy twilight and blue bloods being put into a blender and then mashed into the shape of a book, lol, but then it suddenly changed and was so diffrent from both of the other books and became so very AMAZING!

I think I'd need more information to help you with your story...but wouldn't you rather write it yourself? One thing you can try is to close your eyes and "see" out of your characters' eyes; that sometimes helps me.

Yes I do think that writing it myself would be a smart idea and thanks for the idea! Do you happen to know when your book is coming out like the exact date yet? It's okay If not I understandwriting takes time I've already redone mine like a hundred times haha! Thanks for your incouragement;)

i must admit i am sooo very excited for your next book, generation dead was fabulous and it made me cry like a baby! ( im 18 in july :S ) it was beautifully written and i seriously can not wait for the kiss of life! unfortunatley i have to buy generation dead again because someone i thought i could trust stole it!!!!! believe me when i tel you i hve never been so angry in my life... my books are my babys! heehee thankyou for being so gifted daniel you have made my life alot more happier by being so imaginative and creative! vanessa x

Generation Dead has become one of my favorite books, not exaggerating.
The book was amazinggg, and i was hooked right from Chapter 1.
When i first saw the cover, i was kinda unsure though, about Phoebe being goth [sorry, but they've always kinda creeped me out. talk of darkness, death and all. hahah].
But later on, i grew to love all the characters, Phoebe, Margi, and all. :]
Tommy, i gotta admit, he was pretty sexy in a mysterious, intriguing kind of way.
And then there's Adam, with his courage and bravery and loyalty, a modern Prince Charming.
I just cannot wait for Kiss of Life! More stuff for Adam and Phoeobe and Tommy! :D
Keep writing all those amazing stories, Mr. Waters! We'd miss you and your stories greatly. They're like one-of-a-kind. :)
Generation Dead was so good i was almost crying when adam died and when he returned i was so relieved i know its weird a 'living impaired' or 'differently biotic' or my favourite 'zombie' dating a living person but i hope him and phoebe finally hook up. P.S are there going to be any prequels?
I can't wait to get The Kiss of Life, Generation Dead has made me cry, TWICE. And I suspect a waterfall will come at the end, it usuall does after I read a book this good. Thanks for writing this book! ^.^

I can't wait for the next book :D I hope Phoebe realises that Adam is the right guy for her... he seems really good looking too :) For some reason I don't like Tommy as much as some people do, he sounds dodgy :) lol, but it's a fantastic book, I read it in 1 and a half days! Loved it
I really really loved your book. It was one of the few books which made me really feel like the characters in the story were real and I can relate all the chararcters from your book to my friends in real life. To tell you the truth this book was a lot better than the twilight series and I hope you will be inspired to continue on the series; far past The Kiss Of Life. By the way tomorrow I'm going to the library to check out The Kiss Of Life hehe
