Danny Talks Zombocalypse

Today on this blog I'm blogging about blogging on someone else's blog. The wonderful Sharon of the wonderful Sharon Loves Books and Cats asked me to write a guest blog about a zombie apocalypse. You can read it HERE, and if you want to you can leave Sharon a comment there or a leave me a comment here or both. We don't mind.

I noticed that yesterday Tommy went over the five hundred subscriber mark on www.mysocalledundeath.com, meaning that he is nearly five times as popular as I am. But I'm not bitter; that is as it should be. I certainly like him more than me!

Thanks to everyone on Facebook and here that made comments regarding my Magical Mystery Tour. Your comments might actually influence where the tour goes at this point, so keep 'em coming. I'll go anywhere. Even this one town I used to have to go to every so often that I hate that I won't mention by name because I think it is the armpit of the nation. Being an amateur glutton, I'm especially interested in visiting towns that have unique regional foods. Last year Hyperion was kind enough to send me to Louisville, Kentucky where I stalked the elusive Hot Brown and to Minnesota where I was able to sample (makes it sound like I had one or two instead of a bucket full) cheese curds. Does your town have anything different and delicious?

Well Texas has Wataburger.
\/ \/ \/
>Corpus< is the town it all started
^^^^^^^^ in, and the original place is right by the seawall, with a second floor! XP You can have the best chicken strip with Honey Bar B Q sauce ever with a side of fries AND toast! Lol, plus, there's the whole amounts of fun at Cole Park and if you're lucky you may catch a concert there! (All depends on when you come) But if you do Texas, make sure you do one in north Texas and one in south. Same as you would with Cali. Its ten times better that way cause you can see more fans. Plus, your book never stays on the shelves at our Barnes and Evil, its always sold out. Lol.

Come to us in West Yorkshire (Quite honestly many snobbish people in London believe us to be the armpit of the nation but some of us are alright! And where would the Londoners be without our Yorkshire puds?Lost that's where.)No one ever comes to us 'cause we're so small and the closest 'big thing' would be Leeds. Yeah come to Leeds! We have battered mars bars there. Bizzaro! It's mars bars dipped in the kind of batter they use for fish and then they fry it but it's actualreallyly nice!!!:D

Columbus, Ohio has an excellent Ethiopian restaurant called The Blue Nile. It's got the best Ethiopian food I've had since I frequented, what was it called, a restaurant somewhere around Dupont Circle in Washington DC.

Well, Saratoga Springs has one of the best fried chicken joints outside of the Southern U.S.A., and there's an Irish pub with the best fish & chips I've had in the States. Oh... and they have Newcastle on tap. Just saying.

I have to agree with Aamna, a warm welcome awaits you in the North of England. Even though Birmingham is classed as the Midlands lol.
Home to Black Sabbath and Ozzy (feeding your metal needs there!)
A great couple of Waterstones bookshops, perfect for a signing or two ;), in fact one of the best shopping centres in the UK - the Bullring.
Oh, and curry!

I can't believe you were in Louisville, KY last year and I missed it. I read Generation Dead on a whim last year on vacation and LOVED IT! I hope the new tour brings you back here.

PS: I know where some pretty delicious Hot Brown's lurk...

NJ has...um...oh, who am I kidding, we have nothing and we're so pathetically bored (especially in the Mercer County area) so you should visit to spice things up! Pretty please? My bookstore, the Princeton Barnes & Noble, is really nice and the best in the area in my opinion, so if you're looking for a nice bookstore in Jersey to visit, pick mine! >^.^<

Cincinnati area has some bomb Cinci chili. It's amazing, if you happen to like meat, cheese and pasta, all on top of other, and perhaps onions and beans. And if you do, you'll love it. I think. =]

You should totally come to "the Cincinnati area". I know a lot of people here who would love to see you.

Aslong as ya come down to the land o' rain one day I'll live *lols*

The cakes are also known as bakestones within Wales because they are traditionally cooked on a bakestone (Welsh: maen), a cast iron griddle about 1.5 cm or more thick which is placed on the fire or cooker.

Welsh cakes are made from flour, butter or lard, eggs, sugar, and currants and/or raisins. They are roughly circular, a couple of inches (4–6 cm) in diameter and about half an inch (1–1.5 cm) thick.

Welsh cakes are served hot or cold dusted with caster sugar. Unlike scones, they are not usually eaten with an accompaniment, though they are sometimes sold ready split and spread with jam, and they are sometimes buttered. They are often eaten with a pot of tea.

In some regions of Wales, the bakestone is a food separate from the Welsh cake, being larger and less sweet.

Variation
Llech Cymreig: cooked with plain flour (particularly wholemeal flour), rather than the standard self-raising flour and baking powder, resulting in a much flatter and crisper cake. Typically, this variant is made as a slab on a bakestone, or nowadays on a baking tray, hence the name Llech Cymreig (literally, "Welsh slab").
Jam Split: popular in the South Wales Valleys. As the name suggests, this is a Welsh cake split horizontally, with jam (and sometimes butter) added, rather like a sandwich.

Lol i just copied that off wikipedia, i'm bad at explaining stuff :L

you should definately come to Pittsburgh PA, we have many unique foods. and we have the best perogi's =D

also, i just finished Generation Dead, literally 30 minutes ago, and really enjoyed it. it took me 1 week to read the book (which is quite a long time to read a book that long, i normally finish books longer than that in 2 days or so) the ending was a complete suprise for me, and i loved it. i am now a follower of both yours and tommy's blog, and i am looking forward to reading future (and past) posts.

thank you for writing this book, it not only taught me to look past the differences i may have with people, but it also kind of taught me to be a better person (as tacky as that may sound).

[hank you, one again
