Generation Dead on Television?

Generation Dead was featured on the Good Morning America show yesterday as one of their "Summer Sizzle Reading Picks for Kids"! Did anyone catch the show?

Here's a link to the article: Good Morning America.

Some of the comments people left on the article are interesting, in a Nathan Mather-esque way.

I just read your book. I thought it was incredible. A bit of a cliff hanger maybe. Will there be a sequel? I hope so. It was an amazing read :)

Daniel...

I just finished reading your book, and I would like to say that it was one of the best I've ever read. It reached into the teen and can be compared with award winning authors like Chris Crutcher.

The book was amazing and brought me to tears at the end. Like the commenter above, I too hope there is a sequel in the works, though I would understand if you left it the audience to finish the story.

Congrats on a great work of art. Hope to hear many more great works in the future.

Miss Waters. I am a reviewer and this is my my blog Temple Library Reviews:

I fell in love with your novel the moment I saw that cover and I would love to receive a review copy and the chance for an interview after I have read and reviewed your title.

I hope that you consider my request.

Oh hey.
I was wondering if you could answer a question about your second book.
Is Pete going to have his sorta POV in there?
Because I loved Adam and Pheeble's but not so much with Pete.
I knew he was going to do something.
I screamed and woke my sister up when I realized what Adam had done...
Well, on another note.
I want to congradulate you.
I was so tired of all the books in the YA section and I was looking for something new.
So naturally I go to B&N because Wal-Mart's idea of a YA book is Hannah Montanna. Gag.
So anway I come across Vampire Academy and I'm thinking, "Vampires, great, something I'm familiar with. I'll compair to Steph's Twlight."
So I finsihed Vampire Academy and I was looking at the books trying to find "Frostbite" - VA's sequel - and it made me realize how many vampire books are out.
Kissing Coffins, Vampire Kisses, Twilight, all of them. And I do believe that a new one came out last week. Well, its either about witches or vampires, I don't really know. Anyway.
So I saw when your book had came out the weekly arival slidy-thingy from B&N and I had been looking for it a while, but had never found it. Then one day I conviced my sister to take us to the new B&N over at the mall, and she did.
I found your book and was so happy. All I did was blab about how nice it is to find something not about vampires and hopefully it will be something fresh.
And it was!
I loved it.
I was completely lost in it; I had no idea what was going to happen. I was even reading it with my cell phone light during "Handcock" today.
Yesterday. It's like 6 in the morning here at Virginia.
Well anyway, thanks for the great read, I can't wait for "Kiss of Life" to come out.
Write faster!

I also read Generation Dead... my friend's little sister bought it and read it, then my friend read it and told me to read it cause it's really good... and it really is!

Is there gunna be a sequel????? (PLEASE tell me yes, so much was left undone!)The disapearing kids? The weird behavior of the creepily great Amanda (or whatever the name was =P), the odd lab tests, the white van and WORST of all ADAM DYING?!

Hmm I guess there has to be a sequel, if not too much is left undone. YAY!

BUT WHENNNN WILL IT BE OUT???

Answer please, please, please: marinadrenaline@hotmail.com

I so agree. I am absolutely in love with this book. Which means there has to be a sequel or I will cry. This has to be up there with Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse. Seriously. Please, please, please write a sequel. =D

I read your book and i sat motionless on my bed for maybe ten minutes before i could figure out if i liked it or not. It made me really angry that i was so hooked on these characters and then you stopped the story short. You should have made it longer or at least promised a sequel!

I was also upset because it reminded me of my own life problem that i had been trying to forget. Phoebe's experiences remind me so much of my own (except for the zombies and threats)and all the confusion in her life seemed so real (as real as mine.)

It was also very hard to read towards the end as one tear fell after another (making it very hard to see through my tired eyes) but it was SOOOOO easy to read a hunk of it as shown by me only getting two hours of sleep last night because i just HAD TO FINISH THE BOOK! Well i did and i loved it.

Based on these comments here, i think your fans would be depressed if you decided against a sequel. So instead of continuing my writing about your book, i will let you work on your upcoming one. The sequel to generation dead.

Daniel, can I marry your book?! Seriously, and the characters too! Your book and thoughts are so...magical. And my soul will be saddened and dead if you do not right a sequel to this book Generation Dead, my love and my life. Did you know that I finished this book in three days?! That's a new record for me since i don't get much of a kick out of reading well, whatever it was you did it broke me out the trance! Thank you very much.

I was taking a 6 hour drive when I started to read your book. It took me a little less then the six hours when I finished it, but I was so into your book I couldn't put it down.
After reading the book I went up to the room I was staying in, sat on the bed and reread the last chapter, just to compose myself of what I had just read. Afterwards, I sat there emotionless. I was trying to figure out if I liked the book or not. In the end I was REALLY happy I read it, your book left me hungry for more!!!! Thank you sooooo much for writing this book!

OMG!!!!....I love your book...I got it the day it came out, I just haven't had time to leave you a comment...But literally it's amazing...I do hope you make a sequel, that was a killer cliffhanger, I hope something works out between Phoebe and Adam...btw...I don't know if this is good or not, but the ending made me cry...I was so into the book that I didn't expect anything remotely close to how it ended. But anyways, awesomeness...^_^.
